It’s grand finale weekend, the big one is here and it’s finally returning to hallowed ground at the MCG for the first time since 2019. If you (like many) couldn’t nab a ticket, your AV setup at home is less than desirable, or you’re just looking to get involved in the hype, we’ve rounded out some of the best places to catch all four quarters.

Here’s where to watch the 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final in Melbourne this Saturday:

garden condition

CBD’s favorite is to screen the clash in both the public bar and beer garden, if you opt for the latter it’s an entry price of $125 that nets you a drinks package of 4 hours with traveling dishes. Learn more here.

Federation Square

The betting district, an absolute mecca for watching sports on the big screen, Fed Square will welcome everyone with the start of the broadcast at 12 noon. Learn more here.

Mainland Sorrento

The newly refurbished Continental Sorrento pulls out all the stops, a four-hour session with the game on projection screens plus live music, barbecue snacks, canapes, and bottomless beer and wine. Learn more.

The Esplanade Hotel

There are three options to the best of St Kilda; step into the private Gershin room with drinks and canapes, sit down for a three-course menu accompanied by 3 hours of drinks, or keep it casual at the main bar and on the terrace. Learn more here.

Boat builders yard

Ready to accommodate up to 800 football-loving punters, Boatbuilders makes a full day of the Grand Final. On the program are morning games to build the hype, including handball competitions, as well as broadcast American-style barbecues with platters of ribs, wings, beef brisket and more. Learn more here.

The hotel around the corner

About as close as you can get to The G on Grand Final day, The Corner Hotel will open the Music Room, Rooftop and Front Bar to over 13 large screens so you won’t miss a thing. It’s a free entry situation, but it’s a best-dressed first-come situation, so get there early. Learn more here.

Courtyard of the Abbots

Abbotsford’s converted outdoor section will provide a giant screen for the grand finale. It’s a free-entry situation with kick-off at 12pm and post-match festivities until 10pm. Learn more here.
