‘Southside Live’ brings the hottest live music to warm up St Kilda this winter

This winter, live music will take over St Kilda’s foreshore for the inaugural ‘Southside Live’ festival, where all are welcome and music is what matters.

Presented by the City of Port Phillip, as part of the Victorian Government’s On The Road Again initiative, south side live will offer the public a winter wonderland with a free program of Victorian music for all, from Friday June 24th to Sunday July 3rd.

The all-ages program will feature Jazz, Soul, Funk, Orchestral, RnB, Indie, Rock and more, from many of Victoria’s much-loved musicians including Mitch Tambo, Hiatus Kaiyote , Adalita, Isaiah Firebrace, Briggs, The Black Sorrows, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Bumpy, Kira Puru, Freeds and many more. Expect to see 22 bands and bands to entertain the crowds plus an additional children’s program during school holidays with Teeny Tiny Stevies and Bluey Live Interactive Experience. The beach will come alive this winter as the hottest live music warms up the crowds.

“St Kilda is known and loved for its live music, so we’re delighted On the Road Again is helping us run Southside Live, a live music program to warm up the colder months,” said the town mayor of St Kilda. Port Phillip, Marcus Pearl. “There will be many exciting shows on Victoria’s most popular beach and we look forward to music lovers staying to enjoy St Kilda’s many attractions, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.”

With a stage set up on the South Beach Lawn overlooking the bay, audiences will be surrounded by a winter wonderland, complete with hot food, mulled wine, winter market stalls and displays of light and of neon lights, for a unique experience to celebrate live music. and St Kilda in winter.
