Marriott signs first executive apartments in Australia

Marriott has signed an agreement with Sunnyland Investment Group to open the first Marriott Executive Apartments in Australia.

Located on St Kilda Rd, Melbourne, the 180-suite hotel will be part of a mixed-use development comprising around 244 fully residential apartments with high-end amenities and services.

Construction on the $170 million project is expected to begin in 2024 and is expected to be completed by mid-2026.

The apartments will be located at 472-474 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, just two miles from Melbourne CBD.

With parkland lining either side of the precinct, the site offers close proximity to business and leisure demand generators in Melbourne including the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Crown Casino, Royal Botanical Gardens and St Kilda Beach.

The property will include studios, one-bedroom apartments and dual-key apartments with separate sleeping, living and working areas, as well as gourmet kitchens.

Marriott International currently operates 27 hotels in Australia across 12 brands, including The Ritz-Carlton, The Luxury Collection, JW Marriott, W Hotels, Westin, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Autograph Collection, Four Points, Courtyard, Element and Aloft Hotels.
