Macca’s has a new cafe exclusively for Australians

Do you like an Americano coffee but wish it had more Australian flavor? You are lucky for a limited time only thanks to Macca’s.

The fast food chain has announced the launch of an intriguing new menu item, available only to Australians. The new coffee, called the Australiano, adds an unexpected combination of native acacia seeds and chai to the mix.

If you want to see if the Australian version of the Americano measures up, you’ll need to act fast: the Australiano is available for a limited time starting this week. It should cost $4.75, although prices may vary across the country.

If you don’t feel like paying that much, however, some Macca fans will be able to try the cafe creation for free when McCafé hits the road later this month on a massive east coast trip from Melbourne to Queensland.

There will be eight stops along the way, with the Australiano being offered free to curious coffee lovers (see full dates below).

Speaking of Aussie and Macca’s, The Kid Laroi recently revealed his celebrity dining collaboration with the fast food favorite. The acclaimed Aussie rapper’s meal is simple but classic: an iconic cheeseburger with no pickles (which turns out to be a controversial move), medium fries, six Chicken McNuggets with BBQ sauce, with a medium ice cold Coke to wash it all down.

“I’m a huge Macca fan and have fond memories of visiting my local Macca in Waterloo, Sydney, for a Frozen Coke on a hot Australian day,” Laroi recalls. “My all-time favorite Macca order is a Frozen Coke, Chicken McNuggets and Cheeseburger, but I’m definitely not on the pickle!”
